Daniel Olsen is a criminal defense trial attorney serving clients in Bend and the surrounding Central Oregon area. His caseload runs the range of criminal charges, from DUIIs to serious felonies, Measure 11 cases included. Dan’s approach is uncomplicated. He pays attention to what his clients tell him, goes over the evidence in detail, and shapes a defense around the strongest outcome he can reach, whether that ends in a dismissal, a good plea agreement, or a trial.

He has spent years trying cases, defending people charged with anything from low-level misdemeanors to the most serious felonies. Earlier in his career he worked as a Deputy District Attorney for Marion County. Over the course of his career he has handled approximately 200 trial matters, and has addressed hundreds of other cases through motions, plea negotiations, and client advice.

Dan’s trial experience and methodical trial approach have refined his advocacy skills. He has represented individuals facing misdemeanor DUII charges and felony assault charges, among many others. His work extends throughout Deschutes, Jefferson, Wheeler and Wasco Counties, and into Marion County.
